Power Cherry Trail Mix Cookie

  • 1 cup yogurt butter, such as Brummel & Brown
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups oats
  • 1/4 cup flax seed
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup toasted almonds
  • 1 1/2 cups dried tart cherries

    1. Cream butter and sugars in a small mixing bowl. Drizzle in honey and vanilla, mix well; add eggs. Set aside.

Sparkling Red Cherry Punch

  • 1 1/2 cups tart cherry juice
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup orange liqueur such as grand mariner, curacao or cointreau
  • 1 bottle (750 ml) champagne or sparkling wine

    1. In a large pitcher, combine cherry juice, orange juice and liqueur. Chill at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours. Just before serving stir cherry mixture. Tilt pitcher; slowly pour in champagne. Stir gently. Serve in champagne flutes or wine glasses.
