A recipe for Cranberry Salsa Burger
Ingredients
- 1 pound Certified Angus Beef® ground beef
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon peppercorns, crushed
- 4 ounces Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
- 4 sesame seed buns
- Cranberry Salsa:
- 3/4 cup picante sauce
- 8 ounces whole cranberry sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons orange zest
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/2 teaspoon dried mint, crushed
Preparation
Mix salsa ingredients in saucepan; reduce over medium heat
until mixture is chunky. Set aside.
In bowl, mix beef, onions and peppercorns. Form patties and
grill over medium heat until internal temperature is 160°F or no pink remains. Add cheese and melt.
Place burgers on buns and top with cranberry salsa.
