Apple-Onion Sauté

A recipe for Apple-Onion Sauté

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 2 medium onions, cut into thin slices
  • 1 large Granny Smith apple, cored and sliced
  • 1/4 inch thick
  • 1 large Jonathan apple, cored and sliced 1/4 inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar

Preparation
Total preparation and cooking time: 25 minutes

1. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onions; cook and stir 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Add apples, remaining 1 tablespoon butter and brown sugar to onions; cook and stir an additional 5 to 8 minutes or until apples are crisp-tender.
