Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups French's French Fried Onions
- 1/3 pound flaked, sweetened coconut
- 1 pound large shrimp, shelled and deveined
- 2 egg whites, beaten
Preparation
Prep time: 10 minutes | Cook time: 10 minutes
1. Heat oven to 400°F. Place french-fried onions and coconut in plastic bag. Lightly crush with hands or rolling pin; shake to combine.
2. Dip shrimp into egg whites; then coat with onion mixture, pressing firmly to adhere.
3. Place shrimp on baking pan. Bake 10 minutes until shrimp are fully cooked and crispy.
Tip: For a far-East flavor, add 1 teaspoon curry powder to crushed onions.
