Sweets Pouches

Description
A recipe for Sweets Pouches

Ingredients

  • Materials:
  • 10 organza or tulle prepackaged, precut circles, 9-inch diameter
  • 15 feet of ribbon, 1/4-inch wide
  • Assorted dried fruits
  • Assorted nuts

Preparation
Instructions: 1. Fold one organza or tulle circle in half. Then, fold in half again to form cone shape. Fold in half two more times so you have a very slim cone shape. 2. Firmly grasp the side with the open edges and, using scissors, make a 1/4- inch deep cut in the side with the edges, about 1 inch from the top. Open the fabric and there will be eight slits in the circle. 3. Cut an 18-inch piece of ribbon and thread it through the slits. A pouch will form as the end is reached. Fill pouch with nuts and fruit and tie two ends of the ribbon together. Attach to a tree with ribbon or floral wire. 4. Repeat steps one through three for remaining pouches.

Special Note: Organza or tulle circles are available at most craft stores. Alternatively, use one large piece of organza or tulle. Cut out 10 circles (9- inch diameter) from the fabric. If in a rush, some craft stores sell premade organza and tulle pouches.
