A recipe for Monster Muncher Cupcakes

Ingredients

• 1 package cake mix (any flavor) plus ingredients to prepare mix
  
• 3 cups buttercream icing
  
• Kelly green icing color
  
• Black tube decorating icing
  
• White and red gumballs, licorice whips

Preparation
Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Line pan with baking cups. Fill 1/2 full with batter and bake according to package directions. Cool completely.

Tint buttercream icing green. Decorate cupcakes to resemble fur with tip #18 using the pull-out star technique. Hold the decorating bag straight up with tip about 1/8 inch above surface. Squeeze bag to form star then pull straight up, gradually decreasing pressure as you pull away.

Position white gumball eyes, red gumball nose and licorice for antennae. Add pupils to white gumballs with black tube decorating icing.
