Hamburger Cupcakes

Description
A recipe for Hamburger Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 box Duncan Hines Classic White Cake Mix
  • 1/2 recipe batter Duncan Hines German Chocolate
  • Fixin's Ingredients
  • 1 recipe Buttercream Creamy Home Style Frosting
  • Red and green food coloring
  • Sesame seeds

Preparation
Grease and flour cupcake tins. Fill the tins two-thirds full with batter and bake as directed in the recipes.

Slice off tops of all cupcakes and set aside. (You will not need the bases of chocolate cupcakes, so you can munch on them or use them for another project.)

Slice a few of the bases of the white cupcakes into 1/2 -inch slices (approximately 10 slices total) and set aside.

Fixin's Ingredients:

Separate frosting equally into two mixing bowls. With food coloring, make one bowl of green and one bowl of red frosting.

Place one white cupcake top on a flat surface (rounded side down). Now you have a hamburger bun bottom.

Place one chocolate top (rounded side up) on top of the bottom half of the bun to make the burger.

Spread a little green frosting on the burger to make the lettuce.

Frost one of the white cupcake slices with red frosting to make a tomato. Place to tomato on top of the lettuce.

Place a second white cupcake top (rounded side up) on the tomato to make the top of the bun. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Continue with the rest of the cupcakes.
