A recipe for Open-Faced Teddy Bear Sandwiches
Ingredients

8 ounces grated pepper Jack cheese
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 4-ounce jar diced pimientos, drained
- Salt to taste
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- Dash of hot sauce
- 12 bread slices
Preparation
Preheat broiler. Process cheese and butter in a food
processor until smooth. Add half the pimientos and process
again until smooth. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and fold
in remaining pimientos, salt, cayenne pepper and hot sauce.
Cut bread into shapes using teddy bear cookie cutter. Spread
cheese mixture evenly over bread shapes. Place on cookie
sheet and broil about four inches from heat source until
bubbly (about one minute).
