Sausage-Apple Stuffing

A recipe for Sausage-Apple Stuffing
Ingredients
- 1/4 pound bulk pork sausage
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 1/3 cup chopped celery
- 6 cups dry bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon Ac'cent Flavor Enhancer
- 1 1/2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 3 tablespoons margarine or butter,melted
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups peeled, cored and chopped apples
- 1/2 cup raisins
Preparation
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 45 to 50 minutes
In small skillet, brown sausage with onion and celery. Do not drain. In large bowl, combine bread crumbs, parsley, Ac'cent, poultry seasoning, pepper and margarine; mix well. Stir in water, apples, raisins and sausage mixture including drippings. Just before roasting turkey, spoon stuffing into turkey; do not pack tightly.
