  • Edamame: Soybeans that are picked immature while still green and eaten directly from the pod, often served in Japanese restaurants and Sushi bars as an appetizer.

  • Espresso: Strong coffee made by forcing water under pressure through finely ground dark-roasted beans. One espresso shot of 7-10 grams of tightly packed coffee should yield 1-1/2 oz. to 2 fluid oz. of brew. A crema (the frothy part of the espresso) should be on top when espresso is appropriately ground and packed in the filter head. Espresso is served in a "demitasse" that generally is capable of holding 3 oz. of liquid.
