The first week in September has been a chilly one here in Kansas City, making summer feel like a distant memory. If I’m being honest, I am so excited for fall; it’s truly my favorite season. However, there are those sweet summertime things I am going to miss and have already begun to reminisce about. The longer days, warm breezy air, weekends poolside, and those summer recipes that just don’t have the same “wow factor” outside of the warmer months. One of those recipes for me is this sweet and tangy Strawberry Spritzer!
I recently closed my pool for the summer and it just so happened to be on an insanely hot day. I felt instant regret that day. Since a dive in the swimming pool was no longer an option, I made a pitcher of this spritzer and it was the perfect way to kiss summer goodbye.
If you aren’t ready to say farewell to summer just yet or you're keeping this recipe in your back pocket for a sneaky hot day, you won’t regret whipping up a pitcher of this refreshing spritzer. So, let’s get to it!
Strawberry Spritzer
- 1 package (10 oz) frozen sliced strawberries, sweetened and thawed
- 2 liters lemon-lime soda, chilled (may substitute for ginger ale)
- 1 can (12oz) frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed
- Pour strawberries in a blender and process until blended thoroughly.
- Pour strawberries into a large pitcher; stir in soda and pink lemonade.
- Serve immediately.
