Let’s talk savvy steaks for a minute. Valentine’s Day is going to be here quicker than a hiccup and you don’t want to be the one trying to figure out something special last minute.

Most people think of chocolate and steak dinners when Valentine’s Day is mentioned, but let’s be real, restaurants can fill up fast, may be crowded and are often costly. The plan is a steak dinner at home. There will be no crowds, no bothersome noises and no hefty bill at the end. Pick your steak of choice and pair it with your favorite veggies or a simple salad.

Don’t forget to buy something chocolate; it is Valentine’s Day after all. Now follow this Seared Steak recipe for searing and cooking the perfect steak. Just a few easy steps and you’ll be on your way to that thoughtful steak dinner. Your taste buds and special someone will thank you. Remember, you don’t have to lose on taste to save on money.
